Kep still attracts tourists over 1.3 million people for 11 months

 


Kep: In the first 11 months of 2020, Kep province welcomed multi-ethnic tourism, especially more than 1.3 million Cambodians, which is a sign of the province’s potential and attractiveness in the field. Tourism as the private sector is investing more in developing new tourism products in this coastal province.


According to the report of the Department of Tourism of Kep Province, released on November 30, 2020, it is confirmed that in the past 11 months of 2020, national and international tourists who came to visit the tourist area. Especially in the coastal areas, there are more than 1.3 million people, a slight decrease from the same period last year, when more than 1.4 million tourists visited.

 

Since the beginning of 2020, with the outbreak of Covid 19 invading the world, multinational tourists have suspended all of their travel plans, leaving the sector severely affected, even in Cambodia.

 

However, through local movements, Cambodia’s tourism sector is still active, especially in coastal areas, mountainous natural areas, existing tourism areas, and privately-owned processed tourism.

 

In Kep coastal province alone, in the past 11 months, more than 1.3 million multi-ethnic tourists visited various resorts throughout the province, including beaches, pagodas and pagoda sites. Meditation and mangrove areas.

 

Kep Governor Mr. Som Piseth said proudly, “Kep is a unique province where the beauty of the province seems to be embedded in the mysteries of nature, which makes tourists feel surprised and do not want to leave.”

 

“Many tourists seem to be attached to this small province,” he said. “Kep province is very special and suitable as a place for relaxation, which in addition to the land and fresh air, the province also has salt, mangroves, big trees and seafood, especially sea crabs that tourists can not forget.”
